Captain Petersen made his fortune with catching whales. In his lifetime he captured 373 of these giants in the North Sea. Nicknamed the "Lucky One" his stone is known as a "Talking Gravemarker" (Sprechender Grabstein) because it tells biographical information about the deceased. Typical for this region.
